Inspired by our time floating down the River Cam. We like to get in at Byrons Pool, by our home, just above Grantchester. Time is spent drifting and paddling, staring up at leaves, staring down into reflections, watching the insects dance, the fish swim. Hearing the flutter of wings above us and the grey heron flying off in front of us, always at the river bend but the millpond.
A painting I literally swam away into, trying to escape the four walls of lockdown. By this time, Clara had gone back to school but Blanca and I were still at home. We’ll make a wish on the aquabow, that all will come right soon.
